The Magnificent charity of Sri Damacharla Anjaneyulu, M.L.A., Kondapi, who realized the long cherished dream of establishing a Government Degree College for Women in District Head Quarters. As per the orders of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Permission was accorded by the then District Collector and Special Officer, Zilla Parishad, Dr N.Jayaprakash Narayana, I.A.S, to shift the College to the Zilla Parishad Building on 1st August, 1986. Sri Damacherla Anjaneyulu, the Chief Donor of the College was very generous enough to donate a fabulous amount of Rs. 5.00 Lakhs as Corpus fund and the College is named after his wife as Damacherla Sakkubayamma Government Degree College for Women.
