RED RIBBON CLUB

Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a voluntary organization that operates our college, with the primary objective of creating awareness about HIV/AIDS and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the youth. The organization operates under the aegis of the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and is supported by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

In our college, the Red Ribbon Club is aim to sensitize and educate the youth about the risks associated with HIV/AIDS and how to prevent it. The club comprises a group of students who work towards creating a supportive and stigma-free environment for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Red Ribbon Club provides an opportunity for  students to become responsible citizens,  to employ effective leadership and to serve the needs of the community

MISSION

  • Red Ribbon Club focuses to inculcate among all the students the values of service to develop healthy life styles and to increase access to safe and adequate quantities of Blood to all the needy by promotion of regular voluntary blood donation.
  • Promote healthy life styles by providing access to information about prevention education on HIV/AIDS.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS: The club aims to educate students about the causes, symptoms, and prevention of HIV/AIDS. It organizes various awareness campaigns, seminars, workshops, and events to spread awareness about the disease and promote a healthy lifestyle.
  2. Promoting voluntary blood donation: The club encourages students to donate blood voluntarily and creates awareness about the importance of blood donation. It also organizes blood donation camps in collaboration with hospitals and blood banks.
  3. Providing support to people living with HIV/AIDS: The club provides a supportive and stigma-free environment for people living with HIV/AIDS. It also creates awareness about the rights and needs of people living with HIV/AIDS and helps them access health and social services.
  4. Advocating for policy changes: The club advocates for policies that promote the rights and needs of people living with HIV/AIDS. It works towards creating a supportive legal and policy environment for people living with HIV/AIDS.
